Sometimes
it is not enough just to be good.
At EFCN we are committed to providing
quality musicians with opportunities
not just to play great music, but
also to touch lives.
What is it?
The EFCN Orchestra is a group of
accomplished musicians creating powerful music
that God uses to touch lives. This ensemble is different
than a community
orchestra because we don't just make great music. We
make great music in order to impact
thousands of lives.
Who plays in it?
 This ensemble is open to any accomplished musician
including those who attend the Evangelical Free Church of
Naperville and those
who do not. Although we are a church based orchestra, we
are very open to those who do not attend church.
What does the future of the
Orchestra look like?
We envision a dynamic orchestra,
playing diverse musical selections often combined
with media (images, movies and Scripture). The
orchestra will participate not only in worship services
but also events that reach locally and around the
world. We also plan to form small ensembles,
have classical concerts and provide opportunities
for many different forms of music making. We want
people to be able to close their eyes and imagine
that they are in a movie theater. The music has
to be that good and that moving. When this group
will play, we trust that God will use the music to
touch and transform peoples' lives in extraordinary ways.
