| Welcome!
In the Bible we read, "Then
Jesus called for the children and said
to the disciples, 'Let the little
children come to me. Don't stop them!
For the kingdom of God belongs to such
as these" (Luke
18:16). Jesus loved the children. In
Children's Ministries at The Compass Church, we follow
God's directive by valuing His children
in all ways. We provide many opportunities
for interactive environments.
We are committed
to teaching your children who God is, that He loves
them and how they can be His children
for eternity. We speak this truth to
children in fun and creative ways. During our weekend children's worship services,
sing songs about Jesus, they learn
about the nature and character of Go,
and they go home knowing how to apply God's Word in their
own homes and neighborhoods. They also have
fun with friends and their adult leaders.
They are safe, cared for,
nurtured, loved and treasured
as the precious gems that God has made.

Our Philosophy
- Kid-Focused – Our curriculum
is designed to target the everyday
issues kids face in their world.
We love helping each child connect
with God; He loves them deeply.
The team designs an interactive
morning so exciting that kids
are eager to come each week!
- Value-Driven – We
emphasize biblical values that
help kids develop faith and character.
We want to fully develop every child.
- Scripture
Driven- We take
the
words of God and develop it
in such a way that kids not only know what
it means, but they also know
how to apply it to their everyday life.
- Creatively
Wired – We use innovative tools to deliver
a message that’s timeless. The cast utilizes music, drama,
and storytelling to capture kids’ interest. We provide
meaningful activities that are
age appropriate to help your child
grow relationally, physically, cognitively, and spiritually.
- User-Friendly – We work hard
to create an atmosphere that
is accepting of our kids. We love kids. Each
one is a special gift from God.
We want to know each child individually. We want each
child to have an opportunity
to know other kids and an adult leader
and be known by the people in
his or her small group.
- Volunteer
Fueled – Our desire
is to connect volunteers with
their areas of giftedness by offering a variety
of ways for them to be involved.
- Supporting
Parents – We partner with parents, the primary
spiritual instructors of children.
We are here to support and encourage
all that parents do.
Here are some tips for you
We know that any new experience, whether
it’s the first day
of school for your child or the first time that you visit with
us, can be stressful. We want to do whatever we can to ease your
first visit to the children ’s
ministry.
- Arrive 20 minutes prior to the
start of the worship service
to park, register your child(ren), get your security tag, find
classrooms,
and give your child time to
adjust to a new setting.
- We are ready to receive children
fifteen minutes prior to the
start of each session.
• Saturday, 5:45 p.m. for 6:00 p.m. Worship Service
• Sunday, 9:15 a.m. for 9:30 a.m. Worship Service
• Sunday, 10:45 a.m. for 11:00 a.m. Worship Service
- Parents are always welcome
to observe their child’s class.
- Parents are given a security
tag with a number for each
child (infants through 6th grade)
that is used to identify you at
pick up time, and to reach you
if needed.
- Infants through kindergarten children
check-in at their individual Kingdom
Kids rooms according to birthdates.
1st through 6th graders
check-in in the Kids’ Atrium according to their last name.
- If you attend worship one hour
and want to attend a class
or serve during the other hour,
we will continue to care for and
teach your child. We offer two
completely different sessions for
both pre-school and elementary
children on Sunday mornings so
their whole experience is packed
with learning and fun.
- Only the parent (or guardian)
presenting the correct matching
tag may take a child. Siblings
may not pick up children.
Because we care about meeting the needs of your child...
- We will page you in the worship center if your child needs
you. (A number will appear in the bottom
right hand corner on the large screens
in the worship center.)
- We use a state-of-the-art Check In system.
- Professional security is present during all services and events, supplemented with our trained, volunteer security team.
- Children
are always in the safety of a group
and with two or more adults.
- We have consistent
adult volunteers who have been screened
and trained.
- We provide a safe,
clean, and secure environment. These
are important to us.
