When Love Comes to Town
Weekends, March 2010

Do you believe in the power of love? What would happen to your town, your home or your life if true love took over?

The Compass Church invites you to understand the power of love. True love, after all, isn’t always easy. But that’s the kind of love God has for you. By following Jesus through the gospel of Mark, we will discover how God wants to show His love to us and how He wants us to love others.

Join us Saturdays at 6 p.m. and Sundays at 9:30 or 11 a.m. throughout the month of March.

Our series will conclude with our Easter services. Join us on Good Friday, April 2, at 5 or 7 p.m. Then join us for one of our five Easter services: Saturday, April 3 at 5 or 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 4 at 8, 9:30 or 11 a.m.

Multi-Site Discussion
6 p.m., March 14, 2010

We are launching our first multi-site campus at Crone Middle School (111th & 248th Streets) this October. Want to learn more about what's going to happen at our new campus? Want to be part of the pioneer group to go and reach this community? Want to know how the new campus will impact what's happening here at our Hobson campus?

Join us for our Multi-Site Discussion, Sunday, March 14 at 6 p.m. Pastor Dale, Jim Tomberlin (our multi-site coach) and Ritch Sandford (our new Campus Pastor) will be on hand to give updates on our progress plus answer your questions. Childcare is available (nursery through elementary). Please RSVP for childcare to Kara at kthorwall@thecompass.net. We will serve desserts following the discussion.

Wayside Cross Donation Drive
March 6-7 & 13-14, 2010Wayside Cross

During the first two weekends in March, the Wayside Cross truck will be parked outside our building. We invite you to clean your closets, dresser drawers, and storage areas and give us your outgrown or ratty clothes.

Your donation of clean clothing will help Wayside Cross serve hundreds of people with meals, clothing, lodging, and furniture. Your clothing will be either distributed through their Community Outreach Program or will be sold in their Hope Chest Resale Store. Even ripped or torn clothing is accepted, as Wayside is able to recycle that to organizations that provide clothing to 3rd World countries.

Because of a limited number of personnel and the large variety of donations we can only receive clothing; toiletries for both men and women; and unopened products of Tylenol and seasonal allergy relief medications. Check out the full list of needed items. Arrangements can be made for furniture pick-ups by calling Wayside Cross Ministries at 630-892-4239 or filling out the form on our website at waysidecross.org.
